Scooby’s Hot Dogs in Downers Grove, IL has been a neighborhood gem since 2000. Mihir Patel and Miguel Escobedo created a great place with a winning menu backed by Vienna Beef Hot Dogs. Polish Sausage, Italian Beef, and awesome Burgers. Served with fresh cut fries, shakes and malts and more.
A key component of the great hot dog places is becoming a viable part of the community. That’s where Miguel, Mihir, and Scooby’s get it done. From hosting community fundraisers to helping high school events. They even created a reward program with the library by offering kids to ‘Read a book and get a free Hot Dog’. It’s all this plus Scooby’s customer appreciation days and other events that allow a great community to mingle over delicious food.
Scooby’s food, camaraderie, and attention to their community they have served for the past quarter of a century, has led Vienna Beef to pay homage and induct Miguel, Mihir, and Scooby’s of Downers Grove into the Vienna Beef Hot Dog Hall of Fame. The award was created to honor longtime foodservice operators that have developed into neighborhood landmarks. Out of thousands of Vienna Beef customers over the years we have recognized only 149 businesses nationwide since the award was created in 2006. From the entire Vienna Beef family, we are proud to welcome Mihir Patel, Miguel Escobedo, and Scooby’s Hot Dogs of Downers Grove as the 150th recipient.
