In their many years of making friends and doing business in Gallatin, Geoff and Jessica Russell have brought the tastes of Chicago to Tennessee. That project includes preparing and serving those iconic Vienna Beef Hot Dogs and Sausages, Italian Beef, Meatballs, and so much more. Their menu of endless specialties including the ‘pasta of the day’ and their throwback to the old days with Chicago’s famed ‘gravy bread’ is only exceeded by their equally endless honest neighborly conversation.
Geoff and Jessica’s authentic Sicilian recipes are a special part of the magic, which has helped them receive numerous ‘Best of Awards’ in and around the Nashville area. Their food and character have impressed many and made friends of customers like former Chicago morning radio host, Spike O’Dell, and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. But it’s the everyday friends and neighbors that makes it all click. That and folks like Skylar, Dawn and the Campione’s employee team who remain a key component in making the magic happen.
This unique place with a fun atmosphere, camaraderie, and great food has created an ongoing buzz in the community for quite some time and has led Vienna Beef to pay homage and induct Campione’s Taste of Chicago into the Vienna Beef Hot Dog Hall of Fame; which was created to honor longtime foodservice operators that have developed into neighborhood landmarks. Out of thousands of Vienna Beef customers over the years we have recognized only 148 nationwide since the award was created in 2006. More importantly, Campione’s is the first inductee from the great state of Tennessee. From the entire Vienna Beef family, we are proud to welcome Campione’s Taste of Chicago as the 149th recipient.
