In the late Eighties the Lukas family set up shop in the Detroit burbs. Twenty years later, Hippo’s Hot Dogs has become a major part of the fast food scene and has not only gained the praise of their customers but has also garnered many awards. Voted best hot dog by the Detroit Free Press and Detroit Monthly Magazine among others.
