Gardner Arnold, aka Arnie, created the motto “where man bites dog.” He initiated putting the fries on top of the sandwich and since then has expanded to two locations in Whiting and Munster, Indiana. Gardner’s son Steve has carried on the tradition that has included a loyal staff and spans over three generations.
